LSCI Skills in Elementary School
An Instructional Support Teacher from a suburban elementary school just completed the LSCI online course. Here is the feedback she sent us:
“Had to share! There’s issues at the school I’m at for two years with kids involved in the local gang activity. Fights and physical threats since September. Today was another blow out. So, two girls I have worked with in the Learning Support room who have come to trust me, told the principal they need to talk to me. I skipped my lunch and sat and talked. I used everything I learned from that brief intro to LSCI.
The main girl, who is the leader, wouldn’t move out of the cafeteria today because she was so angry. After numerous attempts by the principal and other admins, no one could get her to go back to class. I did. I’m so blown away with how the course is a miracle. I’m so excited to complete my training.
The principal was floored when she heard I got her back to class. She agreed to let me work with them once a week. I told her about LSCI and how I’m thrilled to help wherever I can. They are a very angry bunch, so listening to them and using the Timeline helped me gain so much insight to behaviors that come into school. Thank you! Thank you!”
