New LSCI Presentation for Your Use at Conferences

I’m writing to share a very generous offering from our Senior Trainer, Angie Erickson, from North Homes Children & Family Services in Minnesota. Angie has developed a fantastic 60-90 min presentation, designed to be shared at conference events, around the topic of using LSCI training to build capacity in adult professionals. Here’s a description of the workshop:
When a crisis hits, the most powerful intervention isn’t a strategy — it’s the adult. This session explores how staff confidence and readiness shape every moment of crisis response, and why building adult capacity is the key to safer, more connected learning environments. Drawing on research showing that self-efficacy predicts whether adults default to punitive approaches or engage in skillful, relational interventions, we’ll examine how Life Space Crisis Intervention (LSCI) strengthens adult insight, regulation, and decision-making.
Participants will learn how LSCI’s reclaiming interventions equip staff to respond with courage and clarity, transforming turbulent moments into opportunities for growth. If your team wants to reduce suspensions, strengthen relationships, and increase safety, this session will show why the path forward begins with empowering the adults — not controlling the youth.

Here is the list of Preferred Conferences–organizations through whom we believe growing awareness of LSCI will be most impactful. Keep in mind that if you apply to present on LSCI at a conference from this list, we will provide financial assistance to offset conference fees and support your work.
