Sample Text for Reaching Out to Local Schools/Organization to Grow Awareness of LSCI
Hello LSCI Trainers,
At our conference last week, we talked about the importance of growing awareness of LSCI as an evidence-based, trauma-informed, EFFECTIVE way to reach and teach young people. A few Trainers asked if I could share a template for reaching out to local schools and organizations. I’d be happy to!
We all know that administrators and leaders get inundated with training offers. To make LSCI stand out, it’s important for us to do more than TELL people about LSCI; we need to SHOW them! Please consider offering to provide a FREE 60-minute overview of LSCI to decision-makers, or better yet, offer to provide a FREE 2-hour overview of LSCI to a group of 20 staff members at a date/time that is mutually convenient. (We can talk about how to cover the costs of the manuals so that you are not putting yourself at risk.)
In the template offered below, you’ll see that I’ll be inviting up to 4 local school staff to attend LSCI certification training as my guest this August. Once we get people in the door, they can’t help but realize the positive impact of LSCI on young people–but first, we have to get them in the door!
Here are sample items to include in your outreach efforts, along with a version of the letter I use in my community.
We are asking all LSCI Trainers to take an active role in reaching out to schools and organizations in your community so that more and more professionals can bring the skills of LSCI to more and more kiddos.
Please let me know if you have any questions at all!
Thanks,
Ginger
